Living in a house with 7 teenage girls is always interesting! Nathan is getting used to having many embarrassing "girl" conversations around the supper table! It is kind of funny, actually. But with 7 teenage girls comes many interesting times. They can be quite hyper and they act really crazy a lot of times. They do have their share of issues that we work through with them, but most of the time they are really fun.
One of our most hyper girls--she was crawling up and down the hallway acting like a cat. It was really funny, though it sounds really weird, I'm sure!
One of the latest things they like to do is see who can put their fist the farthest into their mouth. They were all trying it at the lunch table today.
This one always is wanting to take weird pictures of herself with our camera. She can make some really funny faces!
One the way to the pool at our hotel. She is coming out of her shell, big time--when she first got here, she would not let us take her picture at all!
This was at a restaurant in Cincinnati. By the time we got our bill, we (houseparents) were dying to get out of there! These girls love to act crazy in public just to embarrass us! They were laughing hysterically at something.

Wow Rachel...I admire you guys so much. I don't know that I could do what you do, although...it does look like a lot of fun. We will definitely remember you in our prayers.
I can almost imagine that Nathan inspires some of the girls in their craziness?
Funny Rachel! I bet Nathan DOES get in on some interesting conversations. Think Grandpa Y. would be embarrassed?? Period! Period! Period! (ha,ha)
HA! Yes, Nathan gets embarrassed lots of times. He threatens the girls with work if they start talking about gross stuff (he's usually just kidding:) )
Janel, Don't give us too much credit! I'm sure you would be able to do this job! I'm sure you would make a great houseparent:)
"act crazy in public just to embarrass us?" Hmmmm....sounds like my dear brother Nathan. Maybe he is getting some of his own medicine? It makes for good memories though. :)

I thought the same thing Jenna! And you and Kyle weren't any better either. I remember some of the looks dad and I used to get from strangers. I'm almost embarrassed again just thinking about it. Nathan, I'm afraid you had this coming!!!

They definitely look crazy from the pictures. I can only imagine what the waitresses were thinking as you guys were enjoying your time immensely at the restaurant. And yes, I do think Nathan helps get the girls going sometimes, but hey, that's what makes houseparenting fun! Keep up the great work guys, and we pray for you often! Love Joy
