"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

...and more sick:(

So, an update on Kaine...he is totally healthy now! As you all know, he had strep throat last week, but after being on his antibiotic he was able to get over that in a couple of days. Praise God! And our other kids stayed strep-free!

But now...our poor little Halle has the stomach flu:( She is such a sweet sick kid...she definitely hates throwing up (who doesn't?) and she is pretty much a basket case during that, but afterward she is just such a sweetie. She got sick right as we were putting the kiddos to bed tonight, so she is camped out on the couch now and we are PRAYING that the rest of our family can stay healthy!

Hopefully this is the last "sick post" for a very very long time!

sick:(

My poor little Kaine is pretty sick right now. He was feeling really sick, and he had a fever during the night of 102 degrees. We ended up taking him to the doctor this afternoon, and it turns out he has strep throat:( It is so sad to see him like this! Some of you might notice that I am posting this at almost 2 in the morning! Kaine just woke up crying how bad his throat hurts, and I can tell he is in so much pain! Thankfully he already has 2 doses of amoxicillan in him, so I know it will only get better from here...and I am praying our other kids stay healthy! Anyway, somthing to pray for:)

On a different note, check out this picture. The picture I am holding is of Halle, when she was 6 months old. Right now Daisy is 5 months, so she is almost the same age of Halle in the picture. I think they look so much alike!! Another little Halle in our house...should make it fun and very interesting!!

Well, I'm off to bed, and hoping Kaine will sleep through the rest of the night. Good night!!

This past week...

First of all, I can't believe I haven't been able to post all week! This has been a very busy week. Lots of homework and studying. But now it has slowed down a lot, at least for this next week.
So anyway...
Poor Layla! Last week she fell off the top bunk bed:( Kaine sleeps on the top, and while we were getting ready for lunch one day Layla went into the bedroom and climbed the ladder without us knowing. Then we heard her fall down...the poor little girl:( She was a trooper, though. She cried a LOT for about 20-30 minutes, but after that she was totally fine! Praising God for that...we know it could have been so much worse.

This is soon after the fall. It is kind of hard to tell, but she has a huuuuuge bump on her forehead. It didn't bleed at all, though. Here face swelled up pretty bad for a couple days!

On a much happier note, last Saturday my parents took us to the zoo! It was a lot of fun! It was crazy though...between us and Aaron and Jill, we have 6 kids and we only had to pay for 2 of them! Lots of babies:)

Here is Halle, excited for the zoo!

Dad and Layla...poor little girl, she got quite a few looks that day!

Ivy was so cute (as always!) She loved the animals!

Nathan and Daisy. Daisy is just such a sweet girl. She was perfect at the zoo! So good! After looking at this picture, however, I am thinking I should start wearing headbands on her more...she looks so bald!

Layla having fun:) I love her smile!

Aaron and Jill, each with a baby. Also babysitting for all of our strollers and baby gear.

You can see on Halle's face that she is not sure about this...

So goofy:) I can't get them to smile for pictures, they always want to do funny faces!

Me and my cuties:)

Layla was loving the sea lions!

Classic...we had to get a treehouse picture!

Family picture!

Love her:)

by the end of the day, Ivy was so excited to get out of her stroller and army crawl...even if it was just on a bench:)

Jill and sweet little Israel. He was so cute, cuddled up in Jill's wrap all day!

Okay, so that evening we went to Nathan's parents' house for supper and the evening. After supper, we had a fire for marshmallows and smores. It was great! Nathan and Kaine chopped wood together...

Mom held Daisy...

Kaine helped Kyle light the fire...

Nathan "fanned" the flame...(we were all laughing at this...good idea, dad!)

Dad and Halle roasting marshmallows...

It was fun:)

Okay, so fast forward a week. That was last weekend, now these pictures are from last night. We went to the gym for awhile, and I thought I would introduce some of Kaine and Halle's new friends. Here they are (from left): Layla, Griffin, Halle, Kaine and Brendon. They are playing "jail" here, with the soccer goal. Kaine and Brendon are the police:) These 2 boys are getting along great! I am so thankful kaine has a good friend here, with great parents! Definitely an answer to prayer!

Kaine and Griffin are in the same childcare class together, and they get along well, too! I know it looks like Halle is trying to choke him, but she is really just hugging him:)

Then we got out these things that they call "wiggle cars." Aaron and Ivy are trying one out but I don't think she liked it much:) She has been sick this week, poor little girl:(

Kaine, Brendon and Halle in a huddle...they are so cute!

Layla was loving it! (and her face looks so much better now! She just has a slight black eye still).

So there you have it! Sorry about the length of the post...that's what happens when I go so long without time to post I guess:) Hope you all have a great weekend! We are off to a picnic for the whole NTBI campus...should be fun! Hopefully I will remember my camera and I will post some picures (and hopefully it gets done before next week!)

Cuties:)

Just thought I'd share a couple recent pictures. Here is a pic of Halle and Layla...I think Layla looks so old in this picture! I don't know, maybe it's her hair, but I think she is growing up:( Thankfully, these girls seem to be good friends!

A new, updated cousin picture! With all 6 kids...it is so funny, when Aaron and Jill are at our apartment, we look around the living room and we are just amazed. We have 6 kids ages 5 and under! 4 kids under the age of 2! Wow. God has been so good to us.

And here is a close up of my sweet sweet nephew, Israel. He is seriously so adorable! And it is so fun to have another little boy in the family!

Have a great week!!
