"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Oh, Daisy...

She is a cute little thing, isn't she?

Well, Daisy is now 10 months old, and she very randomly decided this past week that she is DONE nursing.  What??  This might not be such a bad problem, except that she will NOT take a bottle and she will NOT drink out of a sippy cup, either!  Needless to say, she is stressing me out a bit this week!

But I can't totally blame the poor little girl...this past week she has gotten 6 new teeth!!  So there has been a lot going on in Daisy's poor little mouth, and that might have something to do with why she wanted to stop nursing.  Who knows?  All I know is, these past few days I have been trying really hard to figure out how to get formula into her (without the bottle or cup, of course, which makes it tricky!!) and how to get any fluids into her...it hasn't been easy, but she is doing okay!  If anyone has any tips for me, do tell, please!!  I have been mixing formula with baby cereal and then mixing in 1 or 2 jars of baby food.  She likes that pretty well, but I just can't get her to drink anything.  But I think she will learn the sippy cup soon (hopefully!!) if we keep working with her.

Ahhh, Daisy.  She is a sweetie:)  Doesn't her face in this picture crack you up?  She is so funny!

She is a sweety.
How about dipping the bottle's nipple in honey.I bet she would love that. (just kidding. I'm afraid I'm not much help in this area).

Oh rache!! Feeding issues are so stressful!I'll bet it is just b/c of her teeth and when they feel better she'll start drinking again. Imagine the pain in your gums and then to suck on something? I bet that would make them hurt more....:( Poor baby...(and mama!)

Oh little Daisy:) So sweet:) I agree with Jill, she will catch on soon with the sippy cup. And she nursed for 10 months -- that is great:) Sorry for you that it had to end a couple months early though...

I hope she catches on fast so you don't have to be stressed anymore. And she's almost a year, so then she can just drink regular milk!
I love that last picture of her :)

these pictures of her are SO sweet ( : this all sounds stressful i agree. tait did the same thing at 10 1/2 months while we were on vacation. We just gave him sips from a cup (he would never take a sippy cup) & mixed formula into cereal & baby food like you are doing. I know daisy is the one who got 6 teeth, but i think the mama deserves a badge of honor too ( : Mandy
