"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

the LASIK decision

I gotta make this short, but you can pray for me today!  Nathan and I are headed to Kansas City for me to get LASIK surgery on my eyes.  I'll give you more details later, but we have to get on the road :)

Two prayer requests:
  1. That my eyes will be eligible for the surgery.
  2. That I will make it through the surgery!  Without passing out that is :)

Thank you friends!  Love you all!

I'll be praying, Rachel! I was given a 48hr notice from my husband to have it done before our awesome insurance ended, and I was so anxious (even in the surgical room they could tell I was not fully onboard), but I am now so glad! It is so nice not having to worry about contacts/glasses, being able to see the moment I wake up, etc, and I think it would probably be such a blessing for you once you guys head out!
