"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

a bittersweet update...

Well, I have some news about our cute little pigs.  Sadly a couple of nights ago, Bub passed away.  We were so surprised, because he was the one who was doing so well for awhile!  So now we just have Honey, but the good news is, she is doing soooo great!  She can walk now, and she can eat so much better.  She isn't quite so skinny anymore.  We have officially moved her to our garage where it is really warm for her.  She is really cute!  It's really sad that in just a couple months she will be a very big, ugly pig.  But oh well, we will enjoy her cuteness for now:)  So thanks for the prayers for this sweet little Honey!  I guess I should have asked for prayers for Bub, too, but oh well.  :)

Here is Nathan feeding Honey through the bars of her cage.  The baby pig formula is blue, so she gets it all over herself.  Isn't her bow cute?  (one of Halle's baby headbands)  :)

I think you should really consider making Honey your house pig. You know that if we had her we would do the same.

Rachel, I hope it's ok that I comment on your blog. I have followed it for some time. Anyway, I love pigs. I really do. I grew up on a farm raising pigs, so they easily became my favorite animal. When I worked, can you guess what decorated my desk? If you guessed "pigs," you're right. My co-workers would even add to my collection. Now, my girls can enjoy my collection of my "piggy" stuffed animals, etc.

We were just at GW today for field day. It would've been fun to see Honey.

oh, that is sad. I do always want to cheer for the runts, though. I am thankful that honey is okay, isn't is kind of weird for so many of the litter to die? i liked seeing Nathan's hands feed Honey. He is such a stud!

Nate and Rache-I read your blog and laughed! What a hoot! You guys definitely make life interesting and great there for the girls--- I commend you for having a PIG in your garage, I think I would have put my foot down on that one...:) HA But I do have to admit that they are just a "wee-bit" cute when they are babies....:)

Hey Rache!

Thanks for commenting on my blog:-) I'm so happy to hear you are doing well! I love the pigs... Caleb has been wanting a potbelly pig for a pet since we've been married... we actually stopped and looked at a litter of them on the way home for church about a month ago! I think they're pretty cute as babies... I think our little pups will be just fine for now:-) haha

Love ya!
