"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

a few Christmas highlights...

This post is quite a few weeks late!  But I want to document our Christmas here in Indiana.  Such good, sweet times with family!

At our Steffen Christmas, somehow Nathan got talked into being Santa!  Daisy wasn't sure what to think about her daddy in this costume ;)

I thought it was pretty funny that Nathan had to be Santa, but then...

I found myself getting roped into being Mrs. Claus!  Lol!  I didn't even know anyone brought a Mrs. Claus costume!  It really ended up being fun though, and such good memories :)

Our Christmas season included making Christmas treats with a lot of little kids...

Lots and lots of homemade games...

I love that me, my mom and Jill were all taking pictures of this one! :)

Kaine won a LOT of meat as prizes!  Beef jerky and beef sticks.  He now has quite a stash to take to PNG with him!

Tug of war, which ended up being a bit frustrating for Kaine when his young teammates didn't really care at all about winning :)  Poor Kaine.  It's hard for a competive kid to be beat by younger girls!

musical chairs :)

At our Yergler Christmas, Nathan and I were shocked when it came time to do the customary men's/women's grab gift.  Everyone else had decided together not to do the grab this year, but instead, to get gifts for our family!  So humbling.  That was such a good night!

The girls got some princess pajamas...

Such sweet times with family...

Is this not the greatest picture ever??

I love Christmas time.  I know for sure that next Christmas will be a trying time for us, being so far away from our families.  But I am confident that God will give us the grace to have a joy-filled Christmas with our PNG "family".  He is faithful, and He is our satisfaction!

It's evident that much thought went into adding to the memory book for each adult and child. The photos are full of joy, and God must surely be blessing you all with that joy...may that continue to be poured upon you in this new year. Bonnie Popp

We couldn't have had a better Christmas this year. Great pictures.
Your next Christmas (your 1st in PNG) will really be something special for you. I'll be anxious to see the pictures from that.
