Part Six: Saturday Festivities
After wedding pictures on Saturday morning, they had Saturday morning softball at 11:00. Nathan was all over that! He loves playing softball. (Personally, I think I would have died out there. They played for about 2 hours...and they all seemed to be loving it! Not my cup of tea, in that weather!)
Nathan and Daisy on the way to the softball field...
I was pretty proud of my athletic hubby out there :)
Nathan and his brother, Kyle...
After the softball game, we had lunch. And after lunch...swimming, of course! We couldn't think of a better way to spend the afternoon. Third day in a row :)
That evening, we got dressed and ready for the rehearsal dinner. It was at a BEAUTIFUL place called Cafe Sed (a coffee shop in town, owned and run by one of Jenna's good friends). Jenna's friends did such a great job of decorating it. We ate out in the courtyard.
Notice the dark skies? We were trying not to notice...but it was pretty obvious that a storm would be rolling in. Thankfully, we were able to get through the meal and speeches before the rain started!
While we went through the food line, Daisy's job was to sit on this chair and "cheer people up as they walk by". She does a great job at that! She says "hi" to everyone in the sweetest voice...I wish you could all hear her :)
Amazing meal...
Halle and her Uncle Kyle...
Me and my niece, Perla...
I am kicking myself for not recording the speeches. They were so good! Nathan's dad here gave a really touching speech.
And then, the rain came. A LOT of rain. The storms down there in Magdalena are not wimpy, that's for sure! We all went inside Cafe Sed to wait it out--but they made the decision to finish the rest of the rehearsal at the church. So we then headed back to CVE, to the church...
We had to run through a torrential downpour to get into the church! Here is Kaine and Halle drying off :)
I think Mili was having fun out in that rain :)
You remember Connor from previous posts? He came to me, victorious, as he was holding Daisy. He was trying to get her to warm up to him all week! She finally allowed him to hold her :)
Okay, next up is the ACTUAL WEDDING! Finally, right? ;)

How Hallie is looking at Conner in that last photo! The rehearsal dinner tables! That photo of the brothers! I am loving the posts too!!!
Torrential downpour is right! Indiana rains are sprinklings compared to what we saw in Mexico. Who knew you needed an umbrella in the desert? Evidently not many, because almost everyone was SOAKED :) What a great evening it was though. The singing in the church just rang out. God was certainly praised. I had goosebumps and it wasn't from being wet.
